A quick and easy Halloween charcuterie board that combines sweet candy corn with savory cheeses, fresh fruit, and nuts. Perfect for last-minute parties, this festive board looks impressive but comes together in under 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz aged cheddar, cubed
  • 8 oz brie wheel
  • 4 oz goat cheese log
  • 4 oz gouda, sliced
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup dried apricots
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate pieces (70% cacao)
  • 1/2 cup salted almonds
  • 1/2 cup green olives (Castelvetrano)
  • 4 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 cup whole grain crackers
  • 1 cup red grapes
  • 1 medium green apple (Granny Smith), sliced
  • 3–4 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Take all cheeses out of the refrigerator 20 minutes before assembling. Cube the aged cheddar into 1-inch pieces. Slice the gouda into thin triangles. Leave the brie wheel whole, but score the top in a crosshatch pattern. Roll the goat cheese log in crushed black pepper or dried herbs.
  2. Place small bowls on the board in a triangle pattern: one for candy corn, one for olives, one for honey.
  3. Place the cheese around the bowls, creating visual balance. Put the brie wheel opposite the cheddar cubes. Arrange the gouda slices in a fan pattern next to the goat cheese log.
  4. If using prosciutto, fold each slice into loose ribbons or rosettes and place near the cheddar and gouda.
  5. Scatter the red grapes in small clusters around the board. Slice the green apple into thin wedges and fan them out near the brie. Sprinkle salted almonds in the empty spaces. Add dried apricots in small piles near the cheddar.
  6. Arrange crackers in a single layer along one edge of the board. Place dark chocolate pieces near the candy corn.
  7. Drizzle honey over the brie wheel in a zigzag pattern. Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs between cheese chunks. Give the candy corn bowl a final stir.
  8. Make sure everything is accessible. Add a small spoon to the honey bowl and a pair of tongs to the prosciutto. Place extra napkins nearby.

Notes

Temperature is everything: let cheese sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before serving. Don’t overcrowd the board; leave about 20% of the surface visible. Prep in stages: cube cheese first, slice apple right before serving. For make-ahead, cover with plastic wrap and add fresh fruit and candy corn just before serving.
