These Mummy Meatball Sliders are the perfect solution for a Halloween dinner that feels special but doesn’t require a culinary degree. They are ridiculously easy to pull together, even on a busy weeknight when you’re already stressed about costumes and school parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2430 frozen fully cooked meatballs (homestyle or Italian-style)
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (2 cans for 24 sliders)
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2430 sliced black olives
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Optional: Italian seasoning or garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Thaw the meatballs slightly by microwaving for 1-2 minutes or letting them sit at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and 1 tablespoon of water until well combined. Set aside.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto your cutting board. Press the seams together firmly to create one large rectangle.
  5. Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the dough rectangle into long, thin strips about 1/2 inch wide.
  6. Take one meatball and place it at the end of a dough strip. Gently wrap the strip around the meatball, overlapping slightly, leaving a small gap in the front for the eyes.
  7. Transfer each wrapped meatball to your prepared baking sheet, placing them seam-side down, about an inch apart.
  8. Gently press two olive slices into the exposed gap of dough on each mummy.
  9. Lightly brush the top of each dough-wrapped meatball with the egg wash. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning or garlic powder if desired.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the dough is puffed and golden brown and the meatballs are heated through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  11. While the mummies are baking, warm your marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat or microwave for 30 seconds.
  12. Remove from oven, let cool for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a serving platter with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Don’t overwrap the meatballs; leave a gap for the eyes. If dough gets too soft, chill strips for 10 minutes. Can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerated. For reheating, use oven or air fryer at 350°F for 5-7 minutes; avoid microwave.
