These adorable mummy-shaped pigs in a blanket are a quick and easy Halloween treat that kids love. Made with just three main ingredients and a simple honey mustard dip, they’re perfect for school parties, spooky dinners, or pre-trick-or-treat snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 package (12 oz) mini cocktail sausages or mini hot dogs
  • 24 candy eyes
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough. If using perforated triangles, pinch the seams together to create one solid sheet. Place on a clean cutting board.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough lengthwise into 12-14 thin strips, about 1/2 inch wide.
  4. Take one mini sausage and place it at the end of a dough strip. Wrap the strip around the sausage, overlapping slightly, leaving a small gap near the top for the eyes. Do not wrap too tightly.
  5. Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each one.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the dough is golden brown and the sausages are heated through.
  7. As soon as the mummies come out of the oven, press two candy eyes into the exposed gap at the top. Work quickly while the dough is still hot.
  8. While the mummies are baking, whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, and smoked paprika in a small bowl. Taste and adjust as needed.
  9. Serve warm with the honey mustard dip.

Notes

For best results, let the dough sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before cutting to prevent tearing. Leave a small gap at the top of each mummy for the eyes. The honey mustard dip can be made a day ahead for better flavor. Leftover mummies can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes.
