A fun and balanced Halloween snack board featuring candy corn, cheese, pretzels, and spooky treats that kids love. Perfect for parties or a festive family night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup candy corn (e.g., Brach’s)
  • 1 cup chocolate-covered pretzels
  • 2 cups caramel popcorn (e.g., SkinnyPop)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, sliced thin (tossed in lemon juice)
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 8 ounces Colby Jack cheese, cubed
  • 6 ounces Genoa salami slices
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup baby carrots
  • 1 cup Halloween-shaped crackers (e.g., Pepperidge Farm seasonal)
  • ¼ cup edible eyeballs (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons orange and black sprinkles
  • ½ cup ghost-shaped marshmallows (or regular marshmallows cut in half)
  • ½ cup peanut butter (or SunButter for nut-free)
  • ½ cup caramel dip (e.g., Marzetti)
  • ½ cup chocolate hummus (e.g., Boar’s Head)

Instructions

  1. Place three small bowls on a large wooden cutting board or serving platter. Fill one with peanut butter, one with caramel dip, and one with chocolate hummus. Space them out to create natural sections.
  2. Scatter the sharp cheddar and Colby Jack cheese cubes around the bowls in small clusters (about 2 ounces per cluster).
  3. Fold each salami slice into a quarter or roll into a log. Place them in a small pile near the cheese.
  4. Arrange pretzel sticks in small stacks or fan them out. Scatter Halloween-shaped crackers around the edges, letting some overlap the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle candy corn in little clusters around the board. Add chocolate-covered pretzels in small piles and scatter caramel popcorn in empty spaces.
  6. Arrange apple slices in a fan pattern along one edge of the board. Place baby carrots in a small pile on the opposite side.
  7. Sprinkle edible eyeballs and ghost marshmallows over the board. Add a pinch of orange and black sprinkles over the caramel popcorn.
  8. Step back and check for gaps. Fill empty spaces with extra pretzels, candy corn, or crackers until the board looks full and inviting.

Notes

Assemble the board no more than an hour before serving to keep ingredients fresh. For nut-free version, swap peanut butter for sunflower seed butter. For gluten-free, use gluten-free pretzels and crackers. Apple slices can be tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning. Leftovers: store cheese and salami in airtight containers in the fridge for 3-4 days; candy and pretzels in a dry container at room temperature.
