A simple, playful, and colorful fruit dessert featuring thick watermelon slices topped with creamy yogurt or cream cheese and fresh fruit, perfect for kids and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium seedless watermelon, sliced into 1-inch thick rounds
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or cream cheese
  • Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Blueberries
  • Kiwis, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Banana slices (optional)
  • A small handful fresh mint leaves, torn or chopped
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Chopped nuts or seeds such as sliced almonds, chopped pistachios, or chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut off both ends of the watermelon to create flat surfaces. Slice the watermelon into 1-inch thick rounds using a gentle sawing motion.
  2. Place one watermelon round on a serving platter. For smaller pizzas, slice rounds into halves or quarters.
  3. Spread about 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt or cream cheese evenly over each watermelon slice.
  4. Arrange sliced strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and banana (if using) over the yogurt layer, leaving some watermelon visible.
  5. Sprinkle chopped nuts or seeds on top if desired.
  6. Lightly drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup over the toppings for sweetness (optional).
  7. Scatter torn fresh mint leaves on top for freshness and aroma.
  8. Serve immediately for best freshness, or chill in the refrigerator for up to 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Use a firm, seedless watermelon for best texture. Pat fruit toppings dry to avoid sogginess. Assemble just before serving to keep watermelon crisp. For dairy-free, substitute yogurt or cream cheese with coconut yogurt or nut-based spread. Leftovers can be refrigerated up to 24 hours but may become watery; pat dry before serving again.
