This Eerie Green Slime Halloween Punch takes five minutes to throw together, looks like something a witch stirred up in a cauldron, and tastes like a tropical vacation that got haunted. It’s a visually stunning, crowd-pleasing drink perfect for any spooky gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 liter lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 1 cup lemonade (prepared from concentrate or store-bought)
  • 1 quart lime sherbet
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 small block dry ice (optional, for bubbling cauldron look)
  • Green food coloring (optional, for extra intensity)
  • Gummy worms (for garnish)
  • Plastic spider rings (for garnish)
  • Lime slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill your ingredients: Put the lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, lemonade, and water in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  2. Set up your punch bowl: Place your punch bowl or cauldron in the center of your serving area. If using dry ice, ensure the bowl is on a heat-safe surface.
  3. Combine the liquids: Pour the chilled lemon-lime soda, pineapple juice, lemonade, and cold water into the punch bowl. Stir gently with a long-handled spoon to avoid losing carbonation.
  4. Add the sherbet: Scoop the lime sherbet into the punch bowl. Do not stir it in completely; leave some clumps floating to create the slimy texture.
  5. Create the eerie effect: If using dry ice, use tongs to carefully add small pieces to the punch. Never handle dry ice with bare hands.
  6. Add garnishes: Drop in gummy worms so they look like they’re crawling out of the punch. Float plastic spider rings on top. Arrange lime slices around the edge if desired.
  7. Serve immediately: Ladle the punch into cups, making sure each serving gets some of the sherbet chunks. The slime effect is best right after adding the sherbet.

Notes

Temperature is everything: use cold ingredients to prevent the sherbet from melting too quickly. Don’t over-stir; leave clumps of sherbet for the slime effect. Dry ice safety is non-negotiable: always use tongs and never let kids handle it. This punch is best made right before serving. For an adult version, add 1 cup of vodka or white rum. For a dairy-free version, use lime sorbet instead of sherbet.
