These easy Halloween fruit kabobs are a budget-friendly, festive snack that comes together in under 20 minutes. Made with simple ingredients like bananas, clementines, and grapes, they’re perfect for school parties or family movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large bananas, peeled and cut into 1-inch rounds
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 4–5 clementines or mandarin oranges, peeled and separated into segments
  • 1 cup green grapes, seedless, washed and dried
  • 1 cup purple grapes, seedless, washed and dried
  • 4–5 pretzel sticks (thin, straight kind)
  • String cheese sticks, cut into 1-inch pieces, then fringed on one end
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prep the Fruit (5 minutes): Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly. Peel the bananas and cut them into 1-inch rounds. Peel the clementines and separate them into segments. Remove any seeds from the segments.
  2. Make the Ghost Faces (3 minutes): Take the banana rounds and gently press two mini chocolate chips into each one for eyes. Optionally add a tiny dot for a mouth.
  3. Assemble the Witches’ Brooms (5 minutes): Cut the string cheese sticks into 1-inch pieces. Use a paring knife to make small cuts along one edge of each piece to create a fringe. Slide the unfringed end onto a pretzel stick.
  4. Skewer the Kabobs (5 minutes): On wooden skewers, layer the fruit to create Halloween scenes. For ghost kabobs: banana ghost, green grape, banana ghost. For jack-o’-lantern kabobs: alternate clementine segments with purple grapes. For eyeball kabobs: alternate green and purple grapes.
  5. Make the Dip (2 minutes): In a small bowl, stir together the vanilla Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  6. Arrange and Serve (2 minutes): Place the finished kabobs on a platter, grouping similar themes together. Place the dip bowl in the center. Serve immediately or within 2 hours.

Notes

Assemble no more than 2 hours before serving to prevent banana browning and soggy pretzels. Brush banana rounds with lemon juice to slow browning. For toddlers, cut grapes in half lengthwise and use short skewers or straws. For a vegan version, use coconut yogurt and skip the cheese brooms.
