Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • Tortilla chips for serving
  • Celery sticks for serving
  • Carrot sticks for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir until smooth.
  4. Fold in the shredded chicken and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until evenly distributed. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly around the edges and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  8. Optional: Broil for the last 2 minutes for browned spots, watching carefully.
  9. Sprinkle sliced green onions over the top. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, and carrot sticks.

Notes

For best results, soften cream cheese to room temperature before mixing. Shred cheese from a block for smoother melting. Let dip rest 5 minutes after baking to set. Can be assembled a day ahead and refrigerated; add 10 minutes to baking time. For a slow cooker version, combine all ingredients and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
