This chocolate covered strawberry bouquet in a vase is a quick, easy, and visually stunning treat perfect for gifting or dessert tables. It combines fresh strawberries dipped in quality chocolate arranged like a floral bouquet for a delightful presentation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • About 20 medium to large fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) high-quality chocolate chips or bars (semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate)
  • 2 ounces (55 grams) white chocolate for drizzling (optional)
  • Around 20 wooden skewers or lollipop sticks (food-safe)
  • Floral foam or Styrofoam block to fit inside the vase
  • Vase or decorative container to hold the bouquet
  • Optional garnishes: chopped nuts, shredded coconut, edible glitter

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by rinsing strawberries gently and patting completely dry with paper towels.
  2. Insert a wooden skewer into each strawberry from the stem end, leaving enough stick exposed to hold comfortably.
  3. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring frequently until smooth.
  4. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly, then let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  5. Place dipped strawberries on parchment or wax paper to cool.
  6. Melt white chocolate and drizzle over the dipped strawberries for decoration, if desired.
  7. Chill the strawberries in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens completely.
  8. Cut floral foam to fit snugly inside your vase and press it down firmly to anchor the skewers.
  9. Insert each chocolate covered strawberry into the foam, arranging them like a flower bouquet and adjusting spacing for a balanced look.

Notes

Dry strawberries thoroughly to prevent chocolate from seizing. Use quality chocolate for smooth melting. Keep melted chocolate warm but not hot. Twisting the berry while dipping helps create an even coating. Assemble bouquet just before serving to avoid soggy berries. Store refrigerated and serve slightly chilled but not straight from fridge.
