A quick and easy copycat recipe to recreate Domino’s famous cheesy garlic bread at home, featuring a buttery garlic sauce and melty mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of Italian bread or French baguette (about 12 inches)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick / 113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (low-moisture preferred)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. Slice the bread in half lengthwise to create two long pieces. Optionally, cut into 2-inch sections but keep attached.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Spread the garlic butter sauce generously over both cut sides of the bread using a spoon or spatula.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the buttered bread, then top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place the bread on a baking sheet, cheese side up. Arrange sections close but not touching if cut.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to turn golden.
  8. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes for a golden, crispy top, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes to set the cheese.
  10. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Use softened butter (not melted) for even garlic distribution. Watch oven carefully during broil to prevent burning. You can assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 2 hours before baking. For dairy-free, substitute vegan butter and dairy-free cheese. For gluten-free, use gluten-free baguette.
